About this Model

The HP EliteBook 840 G5 remains one of the steadiest movers in the 14-inch business segment, and this configuration keeps things simple for volume buyers: 8th-gen i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, and a 14" panel that walks the line between portability and screen real estate resellers ask for. This batch comes in A+ grade, fully painted, so the bodies present clean on the shelf and photograph well for online listings. Note the units ship without AC adapters, which is worth factoring into your lot planning if your buyers expect chargers bundled or if you carry compatible HP adapters to pair on the side. For a shop stocking a mixed corporate-refurb lineup, the 840 G5 is the reliable entry-level 14" line that clears quickly with SME and education buyers.

Buying Notes

✓ Resellers targeting SME and back-office bulk deployments who need a dependable 14" workhorse at the lower end of a mixed lot
✓ Shops serving education and training-center buyers who prioritize screen size and clean A+ bodies over top-tier specs
✓ Traders building tiered lots who want a value 14" anchor to sit beneath higher-spec 13.3" i7 stock

Model FAQ

Can I mix the 840 G5 into a lot with the Dell i7 11th/12th-gen units?

Yes, and it's a common structure. The 840 G5 i5 8th-gen fills the value tier while the Dell 5320, 7320, and 5330 cover your i7 and 2-in-1 demand. This gives buyers a price ladder in one order and helps you move slower i7 units alongside faster-turning entry stock.

Since these ship with no AC adapter, how does that affect resale?

HP EliteBook G5 units use the standard barrel-type HP charger, which is widely available and cheap to source in bulk. Most experienced buyers accept no-adapter lots at the adjusted rate, or you bundle compatible adapters separately — factor this into your quote so end buyers aren't surprised.

How does the warranty work?

Every unit carries a 60-day warranty; any technical fault in that window is replaced.

Do units ship with a charger?

No — units come without AC adapters (No AC). Chargers can be ordered separately.

What exactly does Grade A+ mean?

Fully repainted body, tested and ready to resell — a clean, uniform look for your shop shelf.
