What Grade A+ Means at UAEPC

UAEPC sells one grade: A+. An A+ unit is near-new — a fully repainted chassis carrying at most minor cosmetic marks — and passes nine functional checks before it leaves our Sharjah warehouse. We do not sell Grade A, B, C or repair-grade stock. The grade is written on every invoice and every order carries a 60-day warranty.

The definition, in two halves

Cosmetically

The chassis is fully repainted. What remains is limited to minor marks that are not visible at normal working distance. No dents, no cracked plastic, no damaged hinge, no scratched screen surface.

Functionally

100% working. Not "powers on" — every subsystem in the table below is tested individually and the result recorded against that unit.

The nine checks, one by one

Run on every unit, not on a sample of the lot.

7	Camera & audio	Webcam image, microphone clarity and speaker output at several volume levels.
8	Cosmetic inspection	Chassis, screen surface, palm rest and hinge — the grade is assigned here.
9	Final OS & cleaning	Clean OS install, data wipe, sanitisation and protective packaging.

Inside the warehouse

The table above says what is verified. This says how.

Battery

Capacity and cycle count are read with BatteryInfoView and recorded against that unit's serial number. A laptop ships on its original battery when that battery reads between 70% and 100% health. Below 70% the original does not travel — it is replaced with a new aftermarket battery — so nothing leaves here on a worn-out cell. The figure you get is a measurement, not an estimate.

Chassis paint

The whole body is repainted — base, lid and palm rest — not only the lid. That is why an A+ unit looks near-new, and why we never need a catalogue photo to hide a scuffed base.

Screen

Every panel is driven through full-screen solid-colour test backgrounds. It is the only way dead pixels, clouding and shadowing at the panel edges become visible. A screen that passes at a glance often fails here.

Data and operating system

Drives are wiped after hardware testing, not before — so the unit is tested as it arrived and shipped clean. Windows is then installed unactivated, and you activate it with your own licence. We do not sell a licence we do not hold.

What never ships

A unit that fails any of the nine does not get downgraded and sold anyway. It leaves the order.

Dead or stuck pixels outside an agreed limit
A cracked, dented or bent chassis, or a loose hinge
Any port, camera, microphone or speaker that does not work
Drive or memory errors of any kind
Grade B, Grade C and repair-grade stock — we do not trade in it at all

A rejected unit is not thrown away whole. Working RAM, SSDs and hard drives are pulled and reused in units that pass, and the batteries — including the worn ones swapped out at the 70% line — are collected by the recycling companies we work with.

How to check us before you pay

You should not take a grading standard on trust, including this one. Four things you can do with any supplier, us included:

Ask for the grade in writing on the proformaA supplier who will not put the grade on the invoice is telling you something.
Ask for photos and video of the actual unitsCatalogue images prove nothing about the box that ships to you.
Ask for battery health and serial numbersBoth are measurable, both are checkable on arrival.
Start with a minimum orderTen units for most categories. A first order is a test, and it should be small enough to be one.

Why we do not sell lower grades

Grade A and Grade B are real, sellable goods and much of this market lives on them. We do not, for a narrow reason: a mixed-grade lot cannot be described accurately in an invoice line, and a buyer importing a container cannot inspect every unit. One grade across the whole lot is the only version of this business we can put in writing and still stand behind at 60 days.

Questions buyers actually ask

Is Grade A+ the same everywhere?

No, and that is the problem this page exists to solve. There is no international body that defines laptop grades — each seller writes its own. Compare what a seller says the grade covers, not the letter itself.

What is the difference between A+ and Grade A?

Cosmetic, not functional. A+ carries at most minor marks on a fully repainted chassis; Grade A carries visible scratches. Both work. We stock only A+.

Do you sell Grade B or C?

No. Not at any price and not as a mixed lot. If a supplier offers you a mixed A/B lot, ask what proportion is B and get the answer on the invoice.

What battery health do your laptops have?

Between 70% and 100% on the original battery, measured per unit with BatteryInfoView and recorded against the serial number. A battery reading below 70% is replaced with a new aftermarket battery before the unit ships, so no laptop leaves the warehouse on a worn-out cell.

Is Windows activated?

No. Every unit ships with a clean, unactivated Windows install, and you activate it with your own licence. We do not sell a licence we do not hold.

What happens to a unit that fails the checks?

It leaves the order — it is never downgraded and sold anyway. Working RAM, SSDs and hard drives are pulled and reused in units that pass, and the batteries are collected by the recycling companies we work with.

What happens if a unit arrives faulty?

The 60-day warranty covers it regardless of model or grade. Report it with the serial number and we replace or repair it.

Can I inspect before paying?

Yes. Photos and video of your actual units before payment, and you are welcome at the Sharjah warehouse in person.

What is the minimum order?

Ten units for most categories, twenty for computer parts combined, five for servers. Models and brands can be mixed within a category.
